| Charlotte Wilson was the principal founder of the Freedom Press in 1886 and the first editor of the anarchist newspaper, Freedom. She had been writing about anarchism in the socialist press since 1884, and led the anarchist faction in the Fabian Society. Like the work of her better-known contemporary, Peter Kropotkin, her writings are scholarly, original, thoughtful and clear. Edited and with an introduction by Nicolas Walter.
